I’m Belen, founder and maker behind Glorivi Embroidery. For over 20 years I’ve crafted custom embroidery that turns garments into lasting keepsakes — one stitch at a time.
Who I Am
I’m a maker at heart — someone who believes that the things we wear and use should carry meaning. Before I was an embroiderer, I was a mother of three rambunctious boys who had a talent for losing socks at an alarming rate.
Our studio’s hibiscus logo represents resilience and beauty — a flower that blooms fresh each day, just like the care we put into every project. It’s a reminder that beautiful things come from patient, devoted hands.
When I’m not at my embroidery machine, you’ll find me tending my garden, experimenting with new thread colors, or teaching my grandkids the basics of running a small business.
Why I Started
It all began with a basket of mismatched socks. With three boys under the age of eight, I was constantly sorting through a mountain of identical white athletic socks, trying to figure out which belonged to whom.
One afternoon, out of sheer frustration, I pulled out my grandmother’s old sewing machine and embroidered each boy’s initials onto their socks. Problem solved — and something unexpected happened. The boys started taking better care of their things. Those little initials meant ownership, pride.
Word spread at school pickup, then through the neighborhood. “Could you do my daughter’s dance bag?” “What about our family reunion shirts?” Twenty years later, that simple act of personalization has grown into a full studio, but the heart remains the same: creating things that matter.

How Long I've Been Doing It
Two decades might sound like a long time, but in the world of embroidery, it’s just enough to truly understand the craft. I’ve stitched through technological revolutions — from manual hoops to computerized multi-needle machines — while never losing sight of the handcraft that makes each piece special.
Over the years, I’ve developed relationships with thread suppliers, learned which stabilizers work best on tricky fabrics, and built a library of techniques for every challenge. This experience means fewer surprises and better results for you.
